What to Expect When Coming to the Centre

General Guidelines

Centre Wakefield La Pêche (CWLP) is taking the health and safety of all users very seriously.  The staff and members of the board have been working hard on the following COVID  safety measures based on the provincial guidelines. To keep everyone safe, below are the main points and what to expect when attending an activity at the Centre.

 Before Coming to the Centre

  • Bring your masks - they are mandatory when inside the Centre.
  • Bring your own filled water bottle and any other equipment needed for your program.
 Upon Arriving at the Centre

Upon arriving at the Centre’s entrance, you will note a poster saying:

“For the safety of yourself and others, please do not enter the Centre if you have difficulty breathing, a fever, or any flu-like symptoms.”

  • Everyone will respect 2meter social distancing, unless in the same bubble.
  • Sanitize your hands and sign in. 
  • A Centre representative will greet you and ask the purpose of your visit.
  • Once signed in, you will be directed to your activity. 
  • All users will follow the directives and marked spacing.

    Once in Your Program or Meeting

    • You will find colored tape marking designated spaces for different activities in Studio and Gwen Shea Hall.
    • Once in designated space you may take off your mask, though you are encouraged to wear it at all times.
    • When your activity is finished, you will be directed to leave the Centre.

    Other Information

    • There is only the small family/accessibility washroom available.
    • When the Centre is open, all door handles, surfaces are disinfected hourly.
    • Registration online at centrewakefieldlapeche.ca  or by phone is preferred.
    • All spaces have revised maximum capacity for all types of activities
    • The Centre is thoroughly cleaned daily when open.
    • Ventilation system is monitored regularly. 
    • Due to health and safety guidelines lingering is no longer permitted at the Centre.
    • You will be asked to leave the Centre if you fail to abide by any of the above.
