Jennifer Kun made a post to Wakefield Folks and now the village is coming together in picking up its trash. The village of Wakefield is a great tourist destination with the Gatineau Park, hills, rivers, biking and unique village shops. Each summer the village becomes a busy tourist destination for the gem of a village that it is. Last summer and this past winter the garbage bins were continually overflowing and residents are now needing help in keeping their village free of trash. A suggestion is for the municipality to collect the trash bin garbage with more frequency. The residents are feeling if the town is clean from trash before the tourists come, the tourists may be more likely to be motivated to keep the town free from their trash. It is time for solutions to help maintain a litter free, butt free and overflowing trash can village. Earth day is a great time to remind everyone to maintain a healthy clean environment.
