Es-tu un jeune musicien âgé de 11 à 17 ans qui aimerait bénéficier du mentorat d'un musicien professionnel ? Aimeriez-vous vous joindre à un groupe rock et avoir la chance de vous produire au Ottawa Bluesfest ?

Be In The Band est un programme parrainé par Ottawa Bluesfest qui permet aux jeunes de 11 à 17 ans de former un groupe et de répéter sous la supervision de musiciens professionnels. Les groupes apprendront à travailler ensemble pour préparer des chansons et planifier des spectacles pour leur communauté locale, avec la possibilité de se produire au festival en juillet.

• Tous les participants doivent être capables de jouer des chansons complètes sur leur instrument et doivent être disponibles pour les répétitions hebdomadaires du dimanche et les représentations des 1er et 14 juillet.
• Tous les participants doivent être évalués par un instructeur avant d'être placés dans un groupe. Pour cette raison, la présence à la journée d'inscription est obligatoire pour tous les participants. Si vous ne pouvez pas vous présenter à la journée d'inscription, communiquez avec Greg Paul Stone au 819-209-4556 pour obtenir une évaluation.
• Tout le matériel est fourni (batterie, amplis, sono, micros, clavier). Les participants doivent apporter leur propre guitare, câbles, baguettes et tout autre équipement dont ils pourraient avoir besoin.
• Le placement dans un groupe est laissé à la discrétion de l'instructeur. Nous nous efforçons de placer les participants dans un groupe avec des enfants d'âge et d'habileté semblables.

Be In The Band is a program sponsored by Bluesfest for kids 11-17 years old to form a band and rehearse under the supervision of professional musicians. The bands will learn to work together to prepare songs and plan performances for their local community with the possibility of performing at the festival in July. 

• All participants must be able to play full songs on their instrument and must be available for weekly Sunday rehearsals and performances on July 1 and 14.
• All participants must be evaluated by an instructor prior to being placed in a band. For this reason, attendance at sign up day is compulsory for all participants. If you cannot attend sign up day, contact Greg Paul Stone at 819-209-4556 to arrange an evaluation.
• All backline is provided (drums, amps, PA, mics, keyboard). Participants must bring their own guitar, cables, drumsticks and any other equipment they may need.
• All band placements are at the discretion of the instructor. We make every endeavour to place participants in a band with kids of a similar age and ability.
