Ages 5-7

These classes are meant for the slightly older child. Too big for the younger Creative Movement classes, yet not wanting a formal dance class setting, this class will further the exploration of movement and music. As children get older, their movement capacity becomes more complex. We will start working on group work and dancing together. Using games and stories, we will use more complex rhythms in music and show them how to really dance with the music. We work on age appropriate movement skills to help develop coordination, spatial awareness, balance, and self confidence, and of course, there is always room for some free dance to let the children express themselves how they wish!
