In celebration of International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, Vélo La Pêche (VLP) will be hosting a mini bike park and movie day at the Centre Wakefield La Pêche on Saturday, June 11. From 1-4 p.m., Kids, parents and families can try out their biking skills on wooden obstacles made by local carpenters or get their bikes checked out by a professional mechanic. Prizes, demos, food and refreshments all afternoon, followed by the mountain bike movie, “Life Cycles” in the Gwen Shea Hall at 4:00 ($5/person or $15/family of four).
