The course is open to all instruments and players who wish to develop their improvisational skills in a supportive environment where they will work together in groups on songs and exercises. A working knowledge of scales is useful. Topics will include phrasing, melodic patterns, following chords, trading, following forms and more.  Students should bring: Instrument, manuscript/notepad, music stand.

Ce cours est offert aux amateurs de tous les instruments qui désirent améliorer leur capacité d’improviser dans un environnement aidant dans lequel ils travailleront en groupes sur leurs chansons et exercices. Il est utile de connaître ses gammes. Les sujets incluront les séquences, les formes de mélodies, le suivi des accords, l’échange, les formes et bien plus encore. Les participants devraient emporter leur instrument, un manuscrit/cahier de notes, lutrin (si possible).
