Active Living Sports (50+)

Coordinator: Irene Richardson, Seniors’ Fitness Instructor

Let’s Play Again! Keep your mind and body active to Feel Great in 2017! We will start with a group warm-up and you pick your games of choice and the fitness level that is good for you. The goal is to have fun, enjoy the social aspects and stay active and fit.

Pickleball: A racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis with  simple rules and is easy to learn and play. It is the fastest growing active living sport in North America. Just use a paddle to keep a plastic ball going back and forth over a net until somebody messes up.

Bola Ball: The object of the Ladder Golf game is to hang or wrap the bolas around the 3-foot coloured dowels. Easy, low impact game that everyone can play. Irene’s Rule: Pick up your own balls!

Corn Toss:  It’s a bean bag game. A great way to keep your joints and mind a movin!

Please wear good running shoes, bring water and stay for the 2 hours or just drop-in for a game or 2. We will be rotating players among the games.
