In this workshop Ingrid will take you through the process of making cordage (rope) from plant fibers right off the landscape around the Wakefield Community centre.  She will teach you when to harvest various plants, how to process the stems into usable fiber and how to use the ancient "revers wrap" method used by prehistorically by cultures all over the world to make the cordage. Then she will teach two ways to use this cordage and plant and transform them into beautiful utilitarian bags or baskets.
