The Ottawa Community Concert Band has been performing music for the residents of the National Capital Region for over fifty years. The ensemble is comprised of seventy amateur and professional musicians who gather together once a week to rehearse their music. The musicians are versatile and perform music of varying styles from military marches, light classical music, Broadway and cinema music as well as original band compositions. One of the band's main activities is performing at hospitals and seniors' residences where residents do not have easy access to musical performances. In addition the band has recently performing concerts at the Canadian Tulip Festival. This concert marks our sixth year of performing at the Wakefield La Peche Community Centre.
