The La Peche Coalition for a Green New Deal invites you to a screening of Fracking the Peace on March 24th. The documentary tells how fracking for ‘natural’ gas has negatively impacted the lives of people living on Treat8 territory in Northeastern BC. The Peace region has been ravaged by more than 25000 fracking wells threatening livelihoods, physical and mental health, rich agricultural land and water that sustains life.

We will also be joined by Pascal Bergeron of Environnement Vert Plus, to discuss his work in Quebec resisting the construction of natural gas pipelines planned from Nova Scotia to Quebec.

La Coalition La Peche pour un Green New Deal vous invite à une projection de Fracking the Peace le 24 mars. Le documentaire raconte comment la fracturation du gaz naturel a eu un impact négatif sur la vie des personnes vivant sur le territoire Treat8 dans le nord-est de la Colombie-Britannique. La région de Peace a été ravagée par plus de 25 000 puits de fracturation qui menacent les moyens de subsistance, la santé physique et mentale, les riches terres agricoles et l'eau qui entretient la vie.

Pascal Bergeron, d'Environnement Vert Plus, se joindra également à nous pour parler de son travail au Québec, où il résiste à la construction de gazoducs prévus de la Nouvelle-Écosse au Québec.
