Join Rick, a local birdwatcher, and learn the basics of birdwatching. Together we will explore the use of binoculars scopes (and maybe camera), birding books and birding apps. There will be tips on how to find birds, and how to recognize field marks (the features to use to identify bird species). Through field experience, participants will learn some local species and gain insight into their behaviour. Format: one classroom session and three field trips at area locations. You will need to bring a pair of binoculars.
Participants will:
We acknowledge, recognize, and respect that we live, work, learn and play within the traditional unceeded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
