L'atelier de Mary Ellen MacLean est conçu pour ceux qui commencent à créer/écrire leurs propres œuvres et ceux qui ont de l'expérience dans la création de théâtre, de danse, de marionnettes, de mouvement - peu importe votre pratique artistique ou votre niveau de compétence !
Vous serez initié à une méthode de création de personnages et d'histoires "sur vos pieds" - en d'autres termes, vous ne serez pas assis à un bureau ou à un ordinateur en train d'écrire vos idées ou votre histoire, vous serez en train de bouger ! Cette méthode consiste à matérialiser les idées, les sentiments et les pensées que vous avez. Mary Ellen a utilisé cette méthode de création tout au long de sa carrière de plus de 30 ans en tant que créatrice, interprète, metteur en scène et éducatrice.
Les techniques explorées dans cet atelier peuvent être utilisées en solo ou en ensemble. L'improvisation, le suivi des impulsions et des instincts sont utilisés pour créer un style d'expression personnel. Tout au long des deux heures, les participants travailleront ensemble et effectueront également un travail individuel. Les participants sont invités à venir avec un esprit et un cœur ouverts à de nouvelles idées.

Mary Ellen MacLean’s workshop is designed for both those new to creating/writing their own work and those experiened in creating theatre, dance, puppetry, movement – whatever your arts practice or skills level!
You will be introduced to a method of creating characters and stories “on your feet” – in other words, you won’t be sitting at a desk or computer writing down your ideas or story, you’ll be moving! This method is about physicalizing the ideas, feelings, and thoughts you have. Mary Ellen has used this method of creation throughout her 30+ year career as a creator, performer, director, and educator.
The techniques explored in this workshop can be used in solo and ensemble work. The use of improvisation, following impulses and instincts are used to create one’s own personal style of expression. Throughout the two hours, participants will be working together and doing some individual work as well. Participants are asked to come with an open mind and heart to new ideas.
