Louise Profeit-Leblanc offre sa série d'ateliers de contes populaires - cette fois-ci aux aînés (65+) - au cours de quatre vendredis : 15 et 22 septembre, 6 et 20 octobre.
Le cours est divisé en quatre parties :
1) 15 septembre : Qui êtes-vous et quelle est votre histoire ?
2) 22 sept. Devenir un grand conteur d'histoires
3) 06 octobre Améliorer ses compétences en matière de narration
4) 20 octobre La narration et vos cinq sens
Louise est une conteuse hors pair et une artiste visuelle accomplie. Sa méthode de travail consiste à accompagner les participants dans leur voyage, plutôt qu'à enseigner.
La culture occidentale a tendance à valoriser l'écrit au détriment de la tradition orale indigène. Cette série d'ateliers montrera le pouvoir et la force des traditions indigènes et de leur façon d'être au monde.
Après quatre séances de deux heures de travail avec Louise, les conteurs participeront à une petite présentation de leur travail le dimanche 29 octobre à 14 heures et recevront un petit cachet de Théâtre Wakefield en reconnaissance de leur contribution en tant qu'artistes au sein de notre communauté.

Louise Profeit-Leblanc is offering her series of popular storytelling workshops – this time to seniors (65+) -- over four Fridays: Sept. 15, 22, Oct. 6, 20.
The course is divided into four parts:
1) Sept. 15 Who are you, and what’s your story anyway?
2) Sept. 22 Becoming a great Storyteller
3) Oct. 06 Enhancing your Storytelling Skills
4) Oct. 20 Storytelling and your Five Senses
Louise is a master storyteller as well as an accomplished visual artist. Her way of working is to accompany participants on their journey, rather than teach.
Western culture tends to value the written word over the Indigenous oral tradition; this series of workshops will show the power and strength of the Indigenous traditions and ways of being in the world.
After four two-hour sessions of working with Louise, storytellers will participate in a small showing of work on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 29 at 2pm and will receive a small fee from Theatre Wakefield to recognize their contribution as artists in our community.
